If I buy the app on my computer, will I also be able to put it on my phone, or is this a per device charge?
but when you can find an off road trail that gets you to the same place more safely and without cars, it is nice.
Let me know if there's anything I can help with.
can I just get it on my computer? Or maybe put it on my ipad?
@islandwalker, do I remember right that another feature of the new wikiloc premium was that you could pull up a certain “user” and search through his/her trails for a specific one? Some of these guys have posted thousands of trails, and it gets frustrating looking for a specific stage of a camino I know they posted!I thought the same about the PM vs general interest question. Here are some ideas to try:
You are right about having to push the map around to center the circle for the second passing area. That is the only way to do it. This is easier to do on a big screen where you can see more, so it would be ideal if you can get your new tools to show up on your computer. Are you logged into the exact same account on your computer as on your iPad? If not, that is why the "search by passing area" is not showing up.
Search hints that might help:
- Go to the dropdown menu by your profile photo (upper right) on your Wikiloc page on your computer, and click on the 4th line down where it says "Your products" (see "dropdown" photo below.)
- View attachment 52596
- Does a window open up that shows you have premium membership? (see "Mbrshp" photo below) It should, if you are signed into the same account that you are using on your iPad. If not let me know, and I'll look for an email address I have somewhere for a guy on the Wikiloc team who has helped me before.

- Start your search from the world maps page on your computer. (see photo)

- Use the +/- buttons to zoom in and out to make moving around easier.
- Use the "more maps" drop down to get a map that shows the names of the small villages. It's too bad that the IGN maps don't appear in this particular drop-down. I find that the last option, OpenCycleMap, tends to show a lot more of the small village names than OpenStreetMap does. (See photo )

Yes, that method of searching is now possible - hooray! Try these steps on your computer:@islandwalker, do I remember right that another feature of the new wikiloc premium was that you could pull up a certain “user” and search through his/her trails for a specific one?
Thank you!It seems like the two of us are the only ones involved in this new wikiloc feature, but I will resist the PM route because I think there is a lot that may be of more general interest.
That's a great comment, VNwalking! If there are any questions I can answer for you, I'd be glad to give it a try. I took my own first steps toward using GPS tracks after getting help here on this forum ten years ago, and it has opened up such a marvelous range of walking possibilities for me. I am forever grateful.Thank you!
Some of us are lurking, even if we don't have the slightest idea of what you're all talking about.
(I need a tutorial...)
