written by the same chap who is the writer and host of “Sacred Journeys With Bruce Feiler,” which appears on PBS this month.
Have seen the episode about the 88 temples pilgrimage in japan - and am intrigued - and wonder if there will be an episode about the camino.

Not only is the article interesting, the comments that follow are as well.....for instance...

" In a world in which more and more things are artificial and ephemeral, a sacred journey gives the pilgrim the chance to experience something both physical and real. And it provides seekers with an opportunity they may never have had: to confront their doubts and decide for themselves what they really believe."
"And there you have it. We can't just "decide" what to believe. Belief should be based on evidence."
