Not a 'sale' or 'needed' thread but a suggestion on what to do with any part worn gear you no longer want or need.

Many of us have gear that maybe has plenty of life left in it, but not enough for another Camino, or we don't plan to walk again.
Can I suggest that you see if there is a charity in your area that sends clothes to those in genuine need - in places like refugee camps and also in Eastern Europe. Winter is coming and many of these folk need some extra clothing.

Our own contribution is our part worn socks. After walking the Camino we use them for some time as general walking socks and then while they are still good enough to pass on we send them to Eastern Europe through our church's clothes box. We can afford to replace them and it keeps some-one else's feet warm.

Just a thought about how we can share with others as well as helping out other pilgrims.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I think that's a wonderful idea and shall start doing that. I'm always buying new walking gear and have some that hasn't seen the light of day for a while.
Thanks for reminding us.

Another, different, charity helps young people who want to take up walking or hiking but cannot afford gear. This is, I think, UK only and is called 'Gift your Gear'. Some hiking shops, like 'Rohan' act as collection points on specific dates (usually March or September) and the gear accepted is also specified. Usually clothes but not boots. Another good home for good condition gear that might not be needed again.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
