Hi: I am planning to start from Lourdes in July but wondering if anyone would suggest starting somewhere farther east because of beautiful scenery or anything else? Thanks a bunch.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Well - how much time do you have? All of France is glorious! You could start at one of the four places mentioned in the Codex Calixtinus and follow the chemin from there - Le Puy, Arles, Paris or Vezelay.

I’ve done LePuy to Santiago and last year did Cherbourg to Mt. St Michel then SJPP to Santiago. I agree but I am specifically wondering if anyone suggests starting east of Lourdes or Lourdes itself before I turn south at Oloron St. Marie for Camino Aragones. Thanks
