San Sebastián Airport to Bayonne - Ride-share 27 May 2023 or Advice please!

Hey everyone,

In an effort to get to SJJP, I have an option of flying from Madrid to San Sebastián, landing around 1300 on Saturday 27 May.

However, the next train to Bayonne from Hendaye Train Station departs at 1504, which means I will miss the 1420 departure from Bayonne to SJJP. The next departure to SJJP is at 1820.

I can see that San Sebastián Airport to Bayonne is only a 27 minutes drive, so were I to take a taxi I should make the 1420 departure to SJJP.

Would anyone like to share a taxi to Bayonne? Alternatively, if anyone had any advice on an affordable way to get from San Sebastian Airport to Bayonne Station for 1420, I would be very grateful!

Thank you

San Sebastian airport is very small so assuming you have no luggage to collect you can be through arrivals 10 minutes after the plane wheels touch the runway. At that time on a Saturday the journey from the airport to Bayonne will probably take 40 minutes so you can probably just make the 14:20 train.

There are usually taxis outside the airport whenever planes land.

This is useful, thank you. Do you have any idea how much a cab may cost?

Thank you! Just to check, am I reading it correctly that it is €77 from San Sebastian airport to Bayonne?

Hi I'm doing the Camino Ingles in September and I came across a similar problem. I did a little research and there is an app called BlaBlaCar which is a car sharing plan, it might be worth checking it out.

Thank you, I took a look earlier and there is a car departing about an hour before I arrive.

I’ve contacted and see if they are able to depart a little later.

Very much agree but feel I may get there around 1920, should I use public transport.

From Madrid, you can bus/train to Pamplona and then taxi or bus to SJPdP. This option is far easier and likely cheaper than what you have described.

The flight is already booked, with flight credit that was about to expire, and I understand a taxi from Pamplona can cost up to €140 at the weekend. Unfortunately, I can’t risk having to pay that individually, it would blow my budget.
