Santiago at last

Time of past OR future Camino
French Camino (2009), French Camino (2011), Via de la Plata (2012), Camino Inglês (2014),
I finally made it to Santiago last Wednesday, 35 days from Roncesvalles. I want to thank forum members and fellow pilgrims for all the good advice and help I received which made my Camino easier. I'd also like to say to other lone female pilgrims that I never had a moment's unease or any unpleasant experiences despite the fact I always walked alone through choice,so don't worry, with common sense you'll be fine.

I also had no bedbugs , no blisters and very little rain (and never had trouble finding a bed). All in all I think I was pretty lucky and had a wonderful and enriching experience. The only trouble I had was tendonitis over the last three days, very painful but nothing was going to stop me at that point.

In Santiago Ivar was most welcoming and helpful with my onward travel plans, I happily recommend his travel centre to anyone.

So thanks again, everyone, and Buen Camino to all you future pilgrims.

Glad to hear that you have finished the Walk. It is funny how happy it makes me to hear you completed it and that all was well. It does not surprise me that your needs were met every time you needed them. Humility and gratitude are the way for all pilgrims. God bless you.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Congratulations and well done peregrina! I did the Frances with my boyfriend last year, but would certainly not hesitate in doing it on my own (as it is really impossible to be alone on the Frances and it makes a lot of sense to be in control of when you want to end a day's walking (as opposed to having to negotiate this with other walkers in your group)). Finally arriving in Santiago is such an amazing feeling. I am sure that you will be back for more...

Congratulations Sandra,
It is great to hear that you made it. I know you will have many wonderful experiences to reflect on, and I am sure that those back home will be glad to see you again and hear more of your exploits.

Congratulation.

It is really good to hear that you made it and have no problems.

My first Camino is waiting for me (starting july 16th in SJPDP). I don't want even to think about that, because I know i would be worried to much.
But it's also cheerful expectation.

Thank you for encourage me and all other female pilgrims who are planning to do it on her own.

Buen Camino.

Hola Sandra.
Just read your blog. Refreshing! Each blog I read brings me back to April/May 2004 and my Camino.
I'm sorry to hear of the pain your received from "the Beast". Glad that you persevered.
Best wishes now for your life after the Camino.

David.
