I have to catch a flight from Biarritz, France on Sunday morning, October 28. What is the best way (convenience, time, cost) to get there from Santiago de Compostela?

The train ride to Irun is a pleasant slow journey retracing much of the Camino Frances, through Astorga, Leon, Burgos .... Only two carriages, one of which has a bar ...

Great!...and you get the train in Santiago? Do you recall the cost and how long it takes? And how easy is it to get from Irun to Biarritz? Thanks!

The IC 280 leaves Santiago at 10.06am and gets to Irun/Hendaya at 9.22pm-- RENFE costs vary depending on age, class of travel, and the availability of special prices. From there, a local bus to Biarritz (walk over the bridge into France, and take route 816, which will get you to Biarritz in a bit over an hour), or even a taxi will get you there.

This looks like the way to go. There is a train on Oct 27...and the cost is $53.13.... Thanks to a very knowledgeable veteran! This site is a real blessing
