Time of past OR future Camino
Every year, since 2000. Most times portuguese camino also twice the french camiño. Two time Le Puy .
I´ll be arriving at Sermizelles from Paris - around 15hs. How dificult will it be to get a cab to Vezelay? Is it expensive? As I'll be arriving from a 11 hours by plane and 21/2 by train trip no way I'll walk ... even the 10km
Thanks
Katia

How difficult will it be to get a cab to Vezelay?
Only by reservation, in my experience. If another pilgrim had not arranged for one, I do not know if we would have gotten one. I do not recall any posted phone numbers for taxis, though it was a couple of years ago. Google might help on arrival, but I would suggest reserving one ahead of time. It is a long walk!!

There is a shuttle bus (with a restricted service) from Sermizelle-Vézelay station to Vézelay. Details here.

You do not say which day you are travelling, but, assuming it is a weekday, if you take the 16:27 train from Paris-Bercy station, (close to Gare de Lyon) you will arrive at Sermizelle-Vézelay station at 19:08 but you will then have a wait of 1 hour to catch the 20:08 bus to Vézelay, arriving at 20:23.

You can get a price for a taxi, and book online, here.

For more information, look here. (In French)

Good luck!

I'll arrive at Paris Charles De Gaulle at 7:15, so I´ll take the 12:00 train, no bus...
Thanks a lot for the taxi information!!

Ok, it is in french, but quite understandable...
Another possibilty is simply to go out of the train, and ask the people doing like you.
Most are locals who will be picked up by some relative: you have a good chance to find someone who will push you to Vézelay
It can be a nice start in the Camino spirit.

Buen Camino, Jacques-D.

Thanks everybody !!!
