Hi everyone!

I leave for my Camino in one week (!!) and I'm finalizing travel/luggage details. I'm walking the Camino Frances, staring in SJPP and will meet a friend in Santiago to walk on with her to Finisterre. My friend is bringing our extra luggage for post-Camino travel, and we're considering taking a bus from Finisterre to La Coruna and then traveling on.

So, my question is: what do we do with our extra luggage? Since we won't be passing back through Santiago, we can't use Ivar's excellent service. Would it be wise to use a luggage transfer (I read that JacoTrans transports to Finisterre?). And if we do that, can we have them transport the luggage from Santiago all the way to Finisterre, where we would pick it up 4 days later?

Flying out of La Coruna is not definite; would it be less hassle to go back through Santiago and fly out from there?

If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears! Thank you!!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Monbus provides bus service from Fisterra (Finisterre) to Santiago. I'm not aware that there is direct service from Finisterre to A Coruña.

And to follow on ... therefore it is easier to fly from Santiago ... though that depends on your schedule and destination as the airlines at each airport serve different destinations.

I know this is a very old post, but I ended up here whilst looking for an answer to this question. I have now found an answer, so thought I'd post it here in case anyone else does the same!

I emailed the Spanish postal service and they told me that you can ship luggage to the postal office in Finisterre using the paq peregrino service. You can send your excess luggage from any post office (oficina de correos) and they'll store it for up to 45 days.

The information online only talks about shipping things to Santiago, but apparently the Finisterre office does the same thing!

The Correos Website does say that you can send luggage to any Correos post office which is on a Camino Route (so not just Santiago and Finisterre/Fisterra) but only specifically mentions Santiago and its address.
