I will be doing the Camino del Norte later this year.

What I would like to know is if it is possible to get to Sarria in Lugo and get onto the Camino Frances from the Norte route?

Bueno suerte!!

Yes you can: check http://www.monbus.es for services between those two towns. On weekdays there are many runs between 06:45 and 22:00, a few less on weekends and holidays.

Stedds,

Are you hoping to do that by bus, or on foot? If the latter, you have two options, neither ideal for your purposes. From Oviedo (just off the Norte, on the Camino Primitivo), you can take the Camino del Salvador to León and join the Francés there. Obviously, that's well before Sarria.

Alternately, you could take the Primitivo a little past Lugo and cut over to the Francés at Palas do Rei, something like 40km after Sarria. It would be easy enough to shuttle back from there to Sarria.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks chaps! I have a few months to decide yet. Looks like sound advice.
