Would like to ask a question that I haven't found and exact answer to. What is the absolute longest distance of a stage on the Camino Frances that must be walked between accommodations.

I don't understand what you are asking specifically? Are you referring to the distance between two albergues/ hostales? The walk into Calzadilla de la Cueza ( 17 k. more or less from Carrion de los Condes ) is the longest on the CF without accomodations. Anywhere else on this route there are practically accomodations every five k.if not less.
 
@SabineP sounds about right to me. If it helps you, I uploaded a set of GPS tracks to the Resources the other day that breaks up the route into small sections between towns. Those tracks also include points of interest for accommodation (though primarily just albergues). Using Google Earth, RouteConverter or something similar you can open the tracks and study the distances, elevation changes, and so on.

Hy, what Sabine said is absolute correct. My wife hated that part, it was so hot that day.
 
If you are sleeping in an albergue at the corner and only want to walk a "stage" to the next corner, that's up to you.
There is no requirement for number of kilometers in a stage.

The only requirement on the Camino is that you walk the last 100 kilometers into Santiago and that is ONLY if you want the Compostela.
If you don't walk those 100 k, you can still get a nice certificate.

No, our concern was that there may some places that the distances between places to stop may push our endurance ,
 
2024 edition: The Brierley Camino Frances Guide
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I see. I wouldn't worry. There are often many many options for lodging along a particular "stage" and there are always taxis and buses. I met a woman a couple of years ago who was morbidly obese. She was determined to walk the Camino, even though it was horribly difficult for her. She would walk until she was tired, sometimes only 5-7 kilometers, then either find lodging, or call a taxi to the next village. She slowly increased her distances, and by golly, she finished the Camino in great shape and able to walk full stages.

Don't worry.. you'll be fine.
 
I suggest you look at the route each morning, then decide if she thinks she is able to walk to the next village.
If NOT, then it's best to have your hospitalera call a taxi first thing and have him take you "x" number of kilometers up the road and start there, than to try to get a taxi mid-trail. Do you understand what I'm saying?

There are also spots where the walk from water source to water source will be long. One is that 17km strech of the Meseta (but there sometimes is a truck selling snacks and drinks), the other place is between Ventosa & Najera. You have to carry extra water.
