Roncesvalles is a starting point for many pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. Once they have registered at the pilgrims' office and obtained their "credencial" (pilgrims' passport), they can stay at the albergue (or alternative accommodation) from where to start their pilgrimage the next day.

I am getting into Roncesvalles on the night of Aug 30th and am staying at La Posada hotel. I plan to spend the next day there and stay that night at the Collegiate Church, then start the camino on the 1st. I did make reservations at La Posada.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I'll be staying the night of the 31st at the Collegiate Church. I'll have a forum badge on my pack.
Buen Camino

From what I remember La Posada is nice and has character, so you've made a good choice. Buen Camino!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Gerard,
You will be a day ahead of me; possibly I will see you. I will stay at Orisson on August 30th. I also will have (just ordered) a forum patch. Additionally, I also have a patch that says "Last Supper Crew" Say "hey" when you passby.
