hey everyone!
I'm gonna start the hike from Ponferrada or Leon.
would it be possible to get the Pilgrims Passport (pelegrino credential) in those towns?> or you can get it only at the very beginning?

Yes you can obtain a passport in those towns. In León at the Cathedral (entrance to the right), in Ponferrada at the main albergue.
 
2024 edition: The Brierley Camino Frances Guide
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
