Train London to Pamplona

Thinking of traveling from London to Pamplona by train with a full-size bike. Just found out Eurostar does not allow bikes on board. From Paris onward they are allowed though. Has anybody found a work around for this, to get from London to Paris in a timely manner?
Thanks

I don't know what you mean by "timely manner". Options are ferry from Dover to Calais and ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe and slow trains from London in England and to Paris in France.

I checked: Both P&O and DFDS continue to take travellers with bicycles.

I see that Eurostar has suspended its "Bike on Board" program until further notice. That is too bad. I know the entire route well as I have traveled from Liverpool via London to Pamplona with a bike although I got off the TGV at Bayonne and took a commuter train to SJPP and then rode the bike from there to Pamplona. Regarding London to Paris, the only other options with a bike would be a ferry or find a rideshare in a vehicle large enough to accommodate your bike and gear. Back in the day there were often vans going back and forth across the channel and some advertised moving furniture etc so if you could find one of those vans you could probably get yourself and your bike on French soil and then from there take a train down to Hendaye from Paris. Check Gumtree for adverts. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I expect to fly now as it is less hastle. I have boxed my full size bike and it comes to 23.1kg. All clothing etc for my three week ride between Pamplona and Santiago will need to either be included in my 7kg carry on allowance, with the excess clothing worn onto the plane at Heathrow - two pairs of shirts, two trousers, padded bike pants,... I do not want to pay exorbitant fees for excess luggage.

You could have cycled London to Paris on the Avenue Verte. There is a ferry connection Newhaven to Dieppe which did / does take bikes as I have a 2021 ticket (though it may be 2022 now).

This is what you can see on the UK side of the AV between London and Newhaven

To late to be useful but you could have packed your excess clothing etc in your bike-box. To much "in the box thinking" can be expensive

Mi bike without the seat, in a box, came to 23.1kg. The seat was carry on. Clothing and seat easily fitted in 7kg carry on.
