Just read on French Train Website that the strike as of now will be going on until the end of June. Those going in May and June on train may need to look at buses or rent a car or share a ride.

or as I have said in other posts, completely avoid all travel in France, period....
It too will pass, but until then why deal with such a hassle?

If you must travel in France, I have booked with SNCF for trains. They have scheduled strike days, so you can plan your travel around that if possible? No guarantee its not going to be a pain in the bum, but at least you might have a fighting chance!

Not all lines are on strike each strike day. Those that are on strike are listed and any reserved passengers notified by email at 17:00 the day before.

Thus, you might book a train for the time and date you wish. It may indeed be valid and run despite the strike. If not you can claim a refund.

Good luck and Buen camino!
