Transfer from Santiago de Compostela Airport to Sarria

Time of past OR future Camino
First one coming up #soexcited
Hi, I'm doing my first Camino on my own next week and flying into SCQ arriving at 16.20, what are my options for getting to Sarria? I would be interested in a shared taxi service if I could find one but not ruling out other options? Any help greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum!

If you would be fine with buses these are the options.
You can take 17:00 (or later) bus from SCQ airport to Lugo:

From there you have two companies to Sarria:

Buen Camino!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It might seem a little daunting the two busses but it is quite seamless. The bus services in Spain I have always found excellent. A fair bit of the route to lugo follows the Camino route so you will see plenty of pilgrims to whet your appetite. Enjoy

The airport in SdC is small, user friendly, and hardly ever really busy meaning no great queues anywhere. In the bus station you will be instaantly recognized as a pilgrim because of your backpack, everyone will asisst to find the right bus if needed.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
