My daughter, grand daughters and I are starting in Sarria, but cannot seem to figure out how to get from the Santiago airport to Sarria. Bus schedules I have found are VERY confusing and incomplete. Also, I've heard there is a train, but cannot seem to find any information. As I'm sure we're not the first to seek out this particular route, can anyone help? Please? We're going the 3rd week in June, and would like to know what we're doing when we get there! Help!! Thanks so much......

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi , there is a bus to Lugo and when you are there you have to change the bus to Sarria . I'm not sure off the time of departure , i tought the time was about 11.30 . What is your time of arrival in Santiago . Wish you a Buen Camino , Peter .

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Empresafreire.com to Lugo (several a day)
Then
Monobus.com from Lugo to Sarria (every hour)
All leave from only bus stations in town

There might be an afternoon run from santiago to sarria (3 hours) with monobus, check website

Buen camino

Jeff

(Other option is a taxi, but no idea what that would cost, roughly just under 2 hours driving time)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Sarria

Empresa Freire bus connects Santiago to Lugo. Most but not all buses stop enroute at the Santiago Airport (Labacolla). Monbus connects Lugo to Sarria. The transfer point is the Lugo bus station.

Sometimes it is more time efficient to take Empresa Freire bus from Santiago Labcolla airport to Santiago bus station (every half hour) and catch another bus to Lugo.

Monbus has buses from Santiago bus station to Monforte de Lemos and buses from Monforte de Lemos to Sarria.

Renfe provides service to Sarria on trains running between Monforte de Lemos and Betanzos-Infesta. These trains originate in Madrid, Barcelona, etc and terminate in A Coruña or Ferrol. Trains from Santiago usually require a transfer at A Coruña, Ourense, or Monforte de Lemos. If you plan to get from Santiago to Sarria ... use the bus.

My son and grandsons and I start from Sarria on 22nd June. We arrive at Santiago airport on the Sunday but will have to drop luggage in Santiago before either catching bus to Lugo or splashing out for a taxi. I had a quote of 135 Euros and a time of 1hr 40mins.
Mights see you there!
