Travel from Santiago to Villafranca del Bierzo

I need to get to Villafranca the same day as arriving in Santiago (noon). Any thoughts? There is no bus service in the afternoon hours. How pricey would it be to take a cab - or, can I hire a shuttle? Any help will be appreciated.

You could get the ALSA bus to Ponferrada.

Santiago de Compostela to Ponferrada Dep: 13:45 Arr: 17:15 3h 30min 16,68€
and then get a taxi to Villafranca which is only 22km away. Taxi's in Spain usually charge about €1 per km.
