My blog is about how to be vegetarian on the Camino, not how to be non-vegetarian off the Camino.I tend to mostly walk 'off the radar'--hence the bumbling around...
In the end it was good, actually, because I had to learn to just settle back into being content with what was easily available rather than seeking. So as a result when that happened to be a good vegetarian meal, I was all the more appreciative and grateful!
A few times on the camino I've had to learn to be very flexible and eat meat--which I would never do normally. But even that was good--but not easy. Flexibility around strongly held principles requires a whole lot of letting go!
Maybe. This is one view. There are many othersAhimsa is the highest Dharma

Good luck Iris and enjoy your Camino. Let me know if you find any veggie options I've missed and we can help future vegetarians!Starting my walk on Sunday 2 April 2017 and had accepted there might not be too many vegetarian options. This is great! Thank you so much
Iris
