I have not been able to find a good source for rain/temp averages by region. Any good place to get that? Also is there a source for daily weather info while on the Camino?

Hi Micheael. Try the weather App YR. It can give weather reports on many of the locations along the Camino and appears tyo be fairly accurate.

Hi Michael , would depent on where and when you walk the Camino .

I find https://www.wunderground.com/ useful though it seems to be based on cities rather than regions. Historical data tends to be from airport sources which may be at some distance e.g. Madrid Airport for Salamanca so there are some limitations.

The website www.weatherspark.com gives high and low averages by city/town of temperatures, precipitation, cloud-cover. I've found It very useful.

http://www.aemet.es/en/serviciosclimaticos/prediccion_estacional/terciles_peninsula_y_baleares, has a helpful page that I stumbled upon one day. It shows the middle third of the historical average temperatures and precipitation for the next three months for all the provinces of Spain. This might give you the historical averages by region that you are looking for.

here it is Leon in May.

only note than in early spring each year temp & precipitation will vary a lot

I use Weatherspark for historical averages, but I use weatherunderground for 10 day forecast weather.
