HI everyone.

I heard stories of pilgrims who had to abort their camino on the Portuguese coast in March last year due to terrible weather conditions.

I will be walking this path from March 10th to March 20th ... what weather conditions should I expect?

Thanks

It will be the same as last March, but on different days!

Your best hope is that any bad weather will not be during your walk. Check any weather site for its almanac or history.

Well, a camino is what you make it, so if you get bad weather on the coastal route (which is quite possible in March . . . and April . . . and May . . . and . . . ) then be flexible and have Plan B . . . e.g. move inland to the central route. The good news is that, if that happens, you have a great excuse to go back another time to where you left off

Olá Lorenzzz,

Sorry, I cannot find my crystall ball at the moment. But I can tell you something about the weather in May last years. For years I stay in Angeiras during May and June. Well, last year May was on the cool and rainy side. Other years it was allright - lots of sunshine and only a few raindrops.

Expect everything, because you are in the north of Portugal. My suggestion: Check the 10-days forecast one or two days before your flight:

Have a sunny and safe caminho, Rainer

I'm not sure I can choose between Costal or Inland. I got only 11 days and for what I understand inland would take slightly longer.. :S

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Olá Lorenzzz.

Inland vs Coast , the difference is 3 miles only! On both ways you can do it easily in 11 days.
