Time of past OR future Camino

My sister will be hiking the whole camino, but I only have two weeks and would like to meet up with her to hike the last two weeks to Santiago. Where would be a good place to try to meet? I figure i can probably walk 12 miles/day. Would it be good to take a bus or train to Leon snd then bus to Astorga or some other town?

Hi @Kimamac - Sounds like a pretty good 14-day plan! Astorga gives you the opportunity to enjoy Cruz de Ferro and also a few easier days of walking before tackling the climb/descent of O'Cebreiro. Enjoy the time with your sister. Buen Camino.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

If you are committing yourself to your sister's schedule, Leon is the typical "fourteen-left" day. If you go to Astorga, you may wait two days to meet, and still have to walk at your sister's pace!

I was considering more the 12-mile per day limit the OP is suggesting for their capabilities. Starting at Leon is closer to 14 miles per day over the same time period of 14 days. After O'Cebriero however I wouldn't be surprised if 14 miles per day was attainable on the downslope into SDC.
