Hello,
im considering walking from lisbon this year, and im definetley going to wildcamp (tarp, no tent) most of it. has anyone done this?
ive camped on the via plata and on the rota vicentina, which was easy and wild, but im not sure about the portugues.
how wild is the stretch from lisbon to porto? how many villages and urban areas do you pass on an average day. is it densely populated? is it mostly natural trails or many asphalt roads?

Wild camping in Portugal is strictly FORBIDDEN !

The route Lisbon to Porto is not "wild". It is rural and now and then urban.
It is a big country with few inhabitants anyway compared to the Netherlands where I live.
The caminho Portugues is a lot of roadwalking.
