Up bright and early - 0830 - dark until then, what a country! Walked out to my favorite church in Santiago - oops! second favorite - Santa Maria del Sar. 10-15 minute walk from Plaza Galicia away from the cathedral. Late Rimanesque Early Gothic a living example for why the buttress, flying or otherwise was envisioned. Walls too high vaults too heavy and the church began to buckle, there is not a straight wall, column, or window in the entir edifice - even the window glass has buckled. Not just for students of architecture or art this a very esthetic and beautiful church.

Santiago is quite lovely in the morning before the crowds begin to fill it in.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
