Dear fellow-pelgrims,

I'm back from a wonderful 3,5 weeks walk with my wife Hanneke on the North Route! What a difference with the Camino Frances in all aspects. Nature, seaside walks, very few pelgrims and..... very heavy due to the up and downs along the coast.
I missed the real pelgrims-atmosphere compared to the Frances-route but liked it overall much more than the Frances-route.

We did it to Colunga just 2 days before Gijon and that's about 450 km of tough daily walking with excellent weather-conditions.
I'm organizing my photo's at this moment so I'll put some of them here at the forum soon.

Great to hear from you Paulus, I hope it was not too warm up on the coast.

Let me know if you have any problems posting photos later.

Un saludo,
Ivar

Ivar,

Thanks: we had some very warm days but overall it was OK. Just one little shower of rain during 15 minutes and some rain in the evening.

I do need some time to organize some 600 pictures but to get an impression I uploaded already one of a nice view on the etappe from Ribadesella to La Isla......coming more!
I also will upload some pictures of the nice markers I saw: one of them had also the sign of the templars on it. Could not find out why or maybe this was part of a route which was going together for some time with the Camino.

Un saludo from Holland,
Paul
