Hello Fellow Pilgrims,

My name is Mark. I just finished the Camino Frances, 6-5-2014, (Starting point SJPdP). It was the most wonderful experience in my life. So wonderful that I am trying to find a way back to Spain. If anyone knows of a job in Santiago de Compestela , businesses or albergues for sale. Or even good ideas for businesses to start. Feel free to send a note to me.

Thanks ,

Mark.

Hi Mark, I'm starting my Camino August 5 in SJPP. Have you looked into becoming a hospitalero as a way into going back? If you do it somewhere around Santiago you'll probably hear some news by word of mouth if you plan to spend some time locally. Just a suggestion as I haven't even started my journey but good luck - I'll ask around when I get to Santiago and check back in when I get back to the states in Sept :D

One of every four Spaniards is out of work. Spain is not a good place to look for a job right now, especially if you are under age 30! Unless, of course, you don't mind working for free.

Thank you for responding to my request so soon. I will definately keep it in mind. I cant wait until I can get back there. It was so peaceful to me. I loved the Spanish people .

Where there's a will there's a way - I booked my trip before I even asked my job if I could take 6 weeks off. I was prepared to get fired bc I knew I had to do this. So when I told my supervisor she laughed and said it would take them at least 5 months to find someone else so she was fine with it! Never let fear be the reason you do or don't do something. Obviously it's easier if you have dual citizenship :D
