Hi Everyone, I don't walk long distances, I prefer to take it really easy, so between 10 and 15 kms is fine. I want to do the Portugese Coastal Route starting in June and my question is are there enough albergues along the coastal route to do it like this, in small stages?
I need to do it as cheaply as possible.
Thanks

Not on the coastal. Most albergues are between 18 and 22 kms Between Viana do Castelo and Caminha you could rent an apartment for one night
Once at the Central route in Redondela it will be easier to find albergues
Bom caminho

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Hi Nosila,

as Albertinho mentions, there aren't quite enough albergues on the coastal for the route with short distances, but there are lots of other accomodation - you can take a look at the sheet here, it also contains price estimates for most places

https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...df-route-portugues-route-monacal-coastal.404/

(you can filter it by type of accomodation - or download it as excel and do it there, if you are more used to that format)

bom caminho

I walked the coastal camino this month up to Caminha, and then we (father & brother in tow) deviated inland from there. Here is my list of accomm and distance walked each day... Christian's list was super helpful as well as 2 sites I'll link to at the bottom. It's definitely do-able, and we likely wouldn't have had to take any transit had we been less particular about our lodging.
