Volunteering in Ponferrada and Camino Norte

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino primitivo April 24
Tomorrow I fly to Madrid and on April 1st I begin two weeks as hospitalero in Ponferrada. First time volunteering and very excited. Stop by and say hello if you're passing through.

I'll begin the Camino Norte from Irun on April 17th, swing down to Oviedo for the Primitivo, and finish in Santiago sometime around the end of May.

I don't remember having this much anxiety before my first two Caminos. My bag is packed and I'm ready but last night I had Camino anxiety dreams! Lol!

Anyone else on the Norte around that time?

Wish me luck! And thanks to everyone for all their help! I've learned a lot from you all!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you for volunteering as hospitalero, you are all angels!

I still get anxious before I walk, I thought it would get easier over time, but no, I worry too much! Until the moment I start walking, then it is all pure bliss (and possibly blisters)!

Enjoy the Norte and Buen Camino!

Davey

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Looks like you'll be in Santiago when I come through! I'll look for you!
Just ask when in the Office. Looking forward to seeing you. :) There are several forum members around at that time. We are planning some tapas one evening or the other, so maybe you can join.

It would be great to catch up with other forum members. I'm booked into San Martin Pinario 27th/28th May.

Catphillips, you and others who actually pull the cord and make it happen inspire me a little more each time to do it myself... I'm SO close! Thanks for your service!
