Having walked in France on the Vezeley route in May, been in Santiago in July and cycled Le Puy to St Jean in September I am thinking of walking from Sarria in November - anyone have any information on weather to expect?
I hope you have a wonderful Camino. In your planning remember the Pope is visiting Santiago on 6th November and accommodation may be difficult to find in the City. However the visit is only one day.
Just back from a wonderful walk from Sarria. The first days were wonderfully bright, clear and warm - we then caught the edge of the storms which hit Spain but our time in Santiago was no wetter than we have experienced in the summer! The massive staging for the Papal mass was still in place - looks as if it will take a long time to dismantle! Still number of pilgrims arriving but no queues!
I did not use Bookings.com during my Camino, but most pilgrims I met did. And from this site it is evident that most people use Bookings at least some of the time.
