@Lynda t - I don't remember stopping at the bakery, so I can't confirm or deny that there was one around the corner. It was a cold and a very windy day and I was just happy to be at the end of the walk for the day. The Meseta is a wild animal. I got to enjoy a very windy day, followed by two days of rain and another day of walking in the mud. Then the weather for the rest of the Camino was perfect.

I never thought of the Meseta as lonely at times but always the Meseta. Since I am a card carrying Caminoholic I can admit that I am addicted to the Camino and proud of it. .If your feet can make it the rest of you will follow.
