I have planned my second Camino in last minute style. I'll be walking from Lourdes on Oct. 5th. After that I have no idea about exact dates but plan to be on or around Puente La Reina Oct. 16th, to start the San Salvador on Nov. 5th and the Primitivo a few days after that, also plan to walk on to Muxia.

I'm super excited and hope to meet some of you along the way!

Buen Camino!

Took a side trip to Lourdes on 2008 Toulouse walk. After Santiago, I found it to be very commercialized and 'plastic'. YMMV, but would love your impressions after the visit. Lourdes was nice to see but gave me no spiritual vibe. Walk route was wonderful--with a long visit to Eunate.

Did you complete this Camino? I am planning much the same walk in Sept. I would love to hear about your experiences.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I walked from Lourdes to Logrono. I’d have to look back at my Facebook for specific details but it was absolutely amazing. There is a Camino office Lourdes that has great naps and contact information. Theee are albergue like places to stay every 8 miles or so. The scenery on the French side all the way through the Sombert Pass was stunning. I walked in early October and saw about 5-10 people each day.

I can give you more info if you have questions

How was the weather? What airport did you fly into? I walked the Frances alone, and the Portuguese with my grandaughter. I am trying to find someone to do it with me, but may end up going by myself again. My plan right now is to walk from Lourdes to SJPDP, take transportation to Leon, then walk the San Salvador to the Primitivo, and the Primitivo to Santiago.
