Three possible rest day spots come to mind: Caminha, Baiona, and Pontevedra. Caminha is a charming small town. Baiona is a bit larger, but full of character. And Pontevedra is a wonderfully beautiful city. I like your idea of walking in four day...
I’m planning to do over 12 days and want 2 rest days built in. What would be good recommendations to stay for a days rest/recover between Porto and Santiago? I was thinking on days 5 and 9 walking in approx 4 day blocks.
It was wonderful bicycling the CP! This was our first Camino and we found the infrastructure was excellent all the way, people were friendly...just a terrific experience! I would highly recommend a Camino by bicycle.

I’ve seen this advertised here on the site and wondered if anyone had used one and what’s the experience.
I’m follically challenged Irish guy so fair complexion but I also get very hot with hats. This see airy but would like other opinions.
Strava is a good one. I use for all my hikes at home and used it on the Camino too. It has a low draw on the phone battery and automatically pauses when you stop. Tracks distance, elevation, average pace, time, etc.
I’d also say if using an iPhone update the Medical Information section which is where most Emergency Departments would look. (Speaking as an ex-ED nurse )
