  • Hello Alan...you have probably been asked this before - Am looking to walk either Cordoba to Merida (and meet other friends there) or Seville merida next April. Any recommendation on which is the better way - picturesque, less roads etc ... Many thanks bruceNZ

    Both are great. Certainly fewer people from Córdoba, pretty much the same (little) amount of tarmac. Slightly better pilgrim infrastructure from Seville (albergues all the way), takes effectively 2days to get out of Seville's urban sprawl, only 2 hours from Córdoba, fine towns on both routes 2 flat dull days from Zafra to Mérida (but possibly the same on the other route as I turned off to go to Guadalupe.
