    Pack is too large for carry-on

    Do not be too sure this is the last Camino! Once done you will no doubt be hooked. Ups and downs with angels supporting you the whole Way. Good wishes for a beautiful experience.

    In 2018 the Pilgrim Mass without Botafumeiro, and the church of San Francisco

    Once was too much - Church of San Francisco was my place of refuge - second visit bypassed the Cathedral altogether and stopping first at the church at the foot of the stairs behind the Parado and then to San Francisco. Blessed quiet and places to reflect.

    Epsom salt substitutes for muscles

    TUMS work really well - 1 or 2 depending on severity - drink lots of water with them - takes about 60 seconds for relief to start or be complete. Always keep in my day pack, bike pannier and night table.

    @galliano I have managed to translate the article but it is quite odd date wise. Article dated Nov. 2009. The globe was to have been re-installed in the Toulouse airport after the Festival of Light. I saw the piece Sept. 2013 in Lectorue not Toulouse! Happy to have the information. Thank...

    @galliano Merci - looks like an interesting site - shall start practicing my rusty French on this one. It was frustration attempting to find information on this particular piece even looking for the name on it, asking tourism. grateful to the forum. It has haunted me ever since seeing it...

    Is that not why we/I wear) long sleeve and fleece gloves (in winter)? sometimes the handkerchief is in the pocket and not available for a quick wipe across the nose.

    Done that on the Portuguese - one hour filled the grocery bag. Doggy bag method of pickup worked well although I would not touch used T.P.

    Love it - last 2 times passing by it seems to change a bit - more ratty then improved somewhat. Another was there as well in 2013.
