    Hello there We booked the majority of our stays using Booking.com and several via phone. It worked very well for us and we appreciated knowing our daily destination. We also started May 1 and completed June 9.

    Finding Accommodation in SJPP without Communal Meals or Public Speaking

    Hello. We started a year ago on May 1! We stayed at Maison Ziberoa just outside the wall. Very pleasant, private and comfortable. You will still have a small group of pilgrims to start your adventure. No communal dinner. A very pleasant and knowledgable host. Have a wonderful Camino.

    Rest days

    Hello We walked last May 1 to June 8, and built in 4 extra rest days. We loved them all and had previously been to 2 of these places. Estella Santa Domingo de La Calzada- we were there during their feast days to celebrate Santo Domingo. Carrion de Los Condes Astorga Have a wonderful walk.

    Heatwave alert. Southern Spain especially

    We are currently in Carrion de Los Condes. Weather topping out today around 87 degrees F. We are starting a long day tomorrow to Terradillos de Los Templarios. We plan to leave before 6:30 to try and beat the heat. Forecast of 90 degress F tomorrow. Any advice is appreciated.
