Early sixties, living in bliss on the Sunshine Coast of southern South Africa. Been hiking since late teens. Upgraded to pilgrimages in 2015. Walked Lourdes - Santiago that year. An eye-opener, a life changer, and that's putting it mildly. Walked the Via Francigena and Via degli Abati in 2017, much more difficult, more quiet so it was a different but no less satisfying experience. Starting Via Podiensis in early April 2024 - first opportunity since COVID! After that, who knows.
