I sometimes choose to only walk a ‘half-day’ (for me) ie 12 or 14 km but only when heading to a big city. On the francés, Burgos, León or Sdc for ex., if I fancy visiting places, museums etc. On others, Mérida, Salamanca, Zamora… If you walk a...

I and my Partner set out from Porto March 16th with the intention of reaching Santiago on or about April 1st. We reached Tui, checked into a hotel and went out to dinner. On the way back to the hotel, my partner slipped on the sidewalk and...

They are not ridiculous devices if it allows women to pee discretely and standing up just like men do. Without taking down their pants. It also cuts down the TP litter plus all the 1000s of plastic bags needed for this TP if it is to be carried...

FWIW... I have an ultralight pack and I don't think the brand is important (though it's a "leader" in the field). All the ultra-lights rely on the same design: absence of frame or much structure. In essence it's 4 sections of parachute material...

I think the most important thing is really the fit.

I also have had some back issues, I’m sure some will disagree with what I’m about to say but for me carrying a larger pack is better. I find the wide waist straps to be very supportive and the pack itself has great suspension. I have an Osprey...

Greetings, Hedrick! In addition to the excellent advice given here, I thought maybe you might feel better knowing that we all have issues, some of us (like me) have dealt with anxiety, depression, I myself struggled with PTSD for decades (doing...
