    Via Francigena Insights

Hi Congrats on completing your Camino! I am in Bolsena now and sadly sprained or broke my ankle today. I loved the Via Francigena and we never had a problem finding accommodation. We used the attached list. In my opinion it is easier to find accommodation on the Via F now then on the CF. I...

    Via Francigena Affordability?

Sorry to hear about your fall. My phone got wet on a Camino and I bought rice and put the phone in rice in a zip lock for a couple of days. Reading about the flooding, would it not be better for me to just start walking in Pamplona? Starting around 25 April.

    norte vs portuguese

Hi Andy I cycled the Portugeuse and Via De La Plata last year as I love cycling and I have some problems with my feet. I have decided to walk the Norte in May. Is it possible to walk it in trainers? I read that it rains a lot and I saw photo's of a lot of mud. My trainers are obviously not water...

    via de la plata

The Via De La Plata is great as there are very little pilgrims as previously mentioned. You can also always be sure of finding accommodation. There is quite a bit of tar and distances are quite long. We cycled from Caceres to Zamora in September 2017. You can read my blog on...

Is it possible for a woman to cycle alone from Lisbon?

Hi I would love to cycle the Camino from Lisbon but I am worried for a few reasons: - That I will get lost - The rental bike not being in perfect condition and something going wrong (I won't be able to fix anything other than a puncture). I would feel safe on my bike but it is not practical to...
