Walking a section of the Camino Frances recently, I noticed that many of the top bunks in albergues had no side rail or means of preventing anyone falling out. Is it just me, or has anyone found this to be a risk/problem?
Thank you, Northerngirl. When i tried on the Alsa website I couldn't seem to find a bus from Leon to Bilbao. Flying back from here to Manchester would be the easiest for me. Could you tell me a bit more about this bus route - did you have to change anywhere?

Is anyone familiar with walking the road route between St Jean PdP and Roncesvalles? Is it safe or are you constantly dodging traffic? In other words, on the sections which are on the road, do you actually walk on the road itself or along a verge?
