- (always) bring as carry-on to Barcelona
- take the Barcelona Metro (subway) from airport to train station. Metro entrance is a few hundred yards from airport international...
1. * It is VERY HARD to get a bed while walking the del Norte in August. Every Spaniard will be vacationing at the coast. From my experience, I'd change the month. It was a HORRIBLE problem so I stopped the walk and vacationed along the Northern Coast.
2. Getting to Irun: There are sooo many fun...
Since my proposed route
- is much longer than either the Ferrol or A Coruña Routes
- starts in Ferrol
- finishes in Santiago
I've assumed the Compostela would be awarded. But, maybe not? I appreciate your input. And, yes, my route harbors a secret ;-)

I love to bring a few Compeed in different sizes. Buy more on the way. Wear several days, even thru showers. NOT the Band Aid brand licensed from Compeed. Same material but sized differently/poorly.
80% of the time I washed by hand because there were no machines--or more likely--washing by hand with whatever liquid or bar soap I had left or something sitting around and available, was part of the (lovely) daily ritual shared by everyone.
