Absolutely you do you and I will do me. We should each be true to ourselves to the best of our ability. Buy we should all remember, in the din of the "It's my Camino" voices, that no one walks a Camino alone, even on the least walked route. You...

I appreciate a lot of this, but for me, "chas[ing] the next goal or pilgrimage" is very much what my overall Camino journey has been, and continues to be, and that's actually what I want out of my experiences. As noted by someone above, Sarria...

Seems really tough. But they were wanting to use Pilgrim facilities, whilst they were clearly not on a Pilgrimage. So it was really up to the 'managers' of the Albergue. Not sure I could have turned them away but I fully understand the decision.

It is easy to say that if there was space there was no harm but you don't know what the instructions were and the volunteers' previous experience. There have been posts on the forum bemoaning use of albergues on the Norte as cheap beach...

As an amateur language teacher (dropped out halfway through the degree program) and amateur linguist (with post-graduate course work), I have to agree. PLENTY of people are multilingual. Ease of learning has far more to do with the methods than...
