    Best place to exchange dollars for euros?

    I found this too. Last August I took about $1000 USD with me and was not able to exchange it for euros outside Madrid. Every bank required you to have an account with the bank in order to exchange. I just use my debit card instead of taking a large amount of cash.

    Albergues yet open on the Via de la Plata/Camino Sanabrés

    Merida albergue was closed on August 4, And all albergues and hostals closed in Alcuescar on August 5. Took a taxi to Aldea del Cano to stay in albergue there.

    I walked this route last year beginning April 13. Although very isolated, it was my best camino yet, and I have walked 9. At 72, it was challenging but doable. Buen camino.
