Anyone who set off from the Orisson this morning is probably there by now, that is if anyone took the route and didn't get buried in an avalanche. Hopefully someone in Roncevalles right now can tell us about their journey.

If it's not closed, trek it if you want. And if the pilgrim centre are advising the other route, well maybe it's because they think it will be a more pleasant walk given the wet conditions and lack of views on the Napoleon.. or maybe the person...

Just write it off to experience. *Anything* you leave unattended has a chance to be stolen. Just don't do it. Unattended rucksacks piled up by the door waiting to be collected or while people have lunch never cease to amaze me! TBH, it sounds...
