I use to live in Peterborough for over three years and I had no idea there was any pilgrims there. After my Camino in 2008 I left UK and came back to Poland.

Pope JPII was walking paths in his favourite Beskid Żywiecki Mountains. Now we have Pope trails there, so we can walk the exact routes, he was walking on. But, that has nothing to do with the Camino I'm affraid...
On one of our polish forums someone wrote: Camino is in your heart, not on the piece of paper.
Some people are walking their camino for that piece of paper, but hopefully, when they arrive in Santiago, they will know, that it is only a piece of paper.
I am planning to walk from Tui to Santiago in January (ocassional pilgrimage during my visit to Santiago). Just need to trust St.James. If it's going to be snowy or windy- thats great; I will appreciate my cosy bed more, when I'll come back.
A lot of people would be dissapointed, if Pope Benedict XVI would skip Santiago in his pilgrimage schedule for the next year. I hope, He will come, but if there was no official announcements untill now...
