The only time I wore double layer blister free socks I got terrible blisters. Also heard others complaining about them. Of course I can’t be certain it was the socks but as footwear was the same as before, it would point to them. I will never risk them again.

If you have done a lot of preparation then you can do it in one day but if not I would recommend stopping in Orisson. I did it last year from St Jean, had not done enough preparation and found my legs were really sore for about three days afterwards. On reflection, should have done more...
