Walking all the way from Scotland
Wow, that sounds a long way - I commend you for doing it in the five months. We're going from London and allowing about 8 months (but we're doing some enormous zig-zags via some other shrines, that's my excuse). Like you, we wanted to set out from our front door! Accommodation in the Morvan/ Massif Central ... and keeping
We're heading off from London at the start of January and hope to get to Santiago sometime between August and October next year, depending on how much R&R we take. Or we might get to the Channel and turn back... So a lot of the advice on how little to take won't be relevant - I'm expecting cold...- Rae

Thanks Peter - those are interesting suggestions. I'll get the maps out again and re-consider. I've been assuming we'd be in the Massif later into the summer, but when we were there in June a couple of years ago it certainly threw it down most of the time.
