I know I'm fairly new to posting on the forum but I have been following it for over a decade now. I walked my first Camino in 2012 and definitely found myself conflicted and judging at times as I'm sure many others have. But this pretty much said it all.

Someone always has corkscrew to lend. That being said I am usually the "lender" because there was that "one time".
It never leaves my backpack now unless it's getting used... or lent 😉
As Pafayac mentioned the Voie de Nive is a great option, I walked it back in 2016... and I promise there are no 1200 meter drops to worry about ;)
