I did the Camino in 2014 and used Miam Miam Dodo to book accommodation each day. I travelled through France during April & May so was worried about accommodation on the Religious Holiday weekends and booked ahead several times. I would highly recommend it.

I am just about to book my train journey to Le Puy for 14th April to start walking on the 15th.

I am starting from Le Puy but hope to arrive in St Jean on 20th but not start again until the Sunday so I may see you en route depending on how quickly you travel.

I am planning to start at Le Puy during April. Was planning late March but have put it back 3 weeks in the hope of better weather at the start.
Still planning hgow long it might take
I am hoping to start from Le Puy during the last week of March and trying to decide what clothing I will need and if I should also need my tent.
What do you think I should plan to expect?
Obviously want to travel as light as possible.
Also can I rely on shops, cafes etc being open for food so...
