LIVE from the Camino Before Los Arcos

Sounds great if I wanted the other Camino route. I walked from puente la reina to Los Arcos in one day with a lunch break in Estella. Stopping in Urbiola wouldn't have worked for me since I had just eaten in Estella. Thanks for the info though. I want to go back just to do that same route...

A nice 10k stretch not too far from Santiago?

There's so much to see and do in A Coruña. I highly recommend getting around via bicycle. The hotel I stayed in gave me a card to use the city bikes free all day ( hotel Coruña mar). There are bike locations all around town. Definitely walk around the tower of Hercules. Make sure to take a...

    Starting @ Ferrol Sep 9

If you have time make your way to A Coruña too. It's well worth it for many reasons.

    Sharing gear as a couple

Sharing to me was the best part of doing the Camino with my boyfriend. I'm 5'6" and he's 6'4"...I'm better at long distances and he's better at walking fast, we walked together slow and long the entire Camino. We carried our own clothes and anything personal that was deemed extra (I packed a...

A nice 10k stretch not too far from Santiago?

I recommend getting a ride to A Coruña and staying a few days there. You could easily walk around the entire town and enjoy the city. It's very beautiful and it start the English way so you can follow some arrows in town. It's not far from Santiago and worth the trip. Buen Camino.

    Availability of buses for non-walker?

If possible...renting a car could be a good option. Also, would be a great deal for both of you if you shared a private room on your stays. Good luck and Buen Camino.

    Is Roncesvalles worth staying in?

I walked from Orisson to Espinal and I'm glad I did. Just stopped in Roncesvalles for a cold beer. I mostly enjoy walking while most others are done for the day...I'm also really slow.

Three days until strike...what to do?

Also try Blabla car. I found it much more reasonable than a taxi.

    Walking solo.

You got tons of advice. My recommendation is spend a day to check out A Coruña or start there. I spent almost a week there. Buen Camino

    Helpful hints appreciated

It's also very inexpensive to take a blabla car as well. I took one yesterday from Fisterra to Santiago airport for 12 euros. It's a carpooling service. I used it many times and have been very pleased.

    Helpful hints appreciated

Make sure to be aware that there is a bus strike and the buses for now are not operating 2 days a week. You may have to find alternative transportation otherwise. I also agree to stay an extra day in Muxia rather than Fisterra. Plus the food is way better there. I just left yesterday so...

    Rates using Booking.com

I speak Spanish but that is great advice to anyone using booking. I always set up my arrival through the booking app. No problem.

    Rates using Booking.com

Lol! Wait till you find out booking in advance doesn't equal a good nights sleep. Also, it didn't happen to me but a woman I met had her reservation given away. Make sure if you have a reservation that you let the place know what time you will be arriving or at least that you will be arriving...

    Rates using Booking.com

I used booking.com on most of my Camino and was very happy. Once I just winged it and ended up with no sleep in the most aweful place (in every way possible) but have a great story. I saw many people including a deaf woman who had the owners of their current night call ahead to the next place...

Would you recommend taking a bathing suit?

    Lol! I found 3 pools...but they didn't have water.
