Hi Totus,
There are Masses for Pilgrims in the larger towns, but unfortunatly the small villages have to share a priest quite often, and i never found one having a Mass. My Niece somehow contacted a Priest from Santander, a friend of a friend. He had a fold up Altar and followed us to several...
Hi Chris And Cathy,
I'm a Sandgroper. I fly out on monday. As you have just finished your Camino, can you please give some feedback on availability of accomodation etc when you were there. Also, your highlights and any problems encountered.
Many thanks, Cheers Tanya 8)
Hi Marjorie,
What a shame you don't think your Mother can handle the Camino. I will be turning 63 on the 6 july and i should be in Rabanal de Camino. I'm travelling with my big Sister(she's half my size) who turns 68 end of july.
Because of the crowds expected in july i have got a small...
G'Day All,
Hello from Western Australia. I fly to Madrid on monday, then on to Leon where i start my Pilgrimage. I've been looking for feedback from Pilgrims who have come home, but there's not much posted. As soon as possible i'll post on this forum to let you know how easy or hard it is for...
Hi all,
I fly out from Western Australia this monday to Madrid where i join my Sister for a few days then on to Leon our starting point. Thanks to this Forum for the information i have gleaned , most helpful.
Cheers Tanya 8)
8) HI Everyone,
To all of you who have recently returned, i would love some info on how many Pilgrims are on the road, did you have trouble finding a bed, etc. As my Sister and i are both in our sixties, any information would be appreciated. I leave for Madrid next monday...
I like your style gittihare. My Sister is doing long walks carrying a pack, walking around hills in Alicante (Spain). She's nearly 68. I'm ambling around the block occasionally, no hills around where i live in Western Australia. No pack. I'm nearly 63 . I don't want to wear out before i start...
Hi Pen6,
My Niece is flying from London to Asturias and then bus or train to Leon. For the return, you will probably be closer to Santiago, so bus there and then catch a plane home.
Cheers Tanya
Hello Martha,
What an amazing journey. I am leaving Leon the 3rd of july. Will you be there around that time?? It would be marvellous to hear you play.
Buen Camino Tanya
:? Hi All,
There is a lot of talk about sleeping bags, but does anyone use a wuss mat?? Being so busy during june and july, there may be no room at the inn! If i bunk outside i like to have more than a ground sheet under me. Cheers Tanya
